I was very disappointed in this product. The rollers do not get hot enough to firmly set your hair, the clips do not have anywhere to be placed so you must carry them separately and it is not as small a unit as their older product with 5 rollers & clips in a small case.
These rollers are great. The velvet covering keeps a lot of heat damage from happening to your hair. They get just hot enough-I only leave them in for about 7 minutes. I wouldn't want them to get too hot because these will style my hair without the damage of very high heat.You never burn your fingers. You CAN order the wire clips, they work fine. My hair is almost to the middle of my back and the curls are a perfect size.
Why they suck:-they barely got lukewarm, and after leaving in my hair for half an hour there was NO curl (and my hair curls easily)-it's a travel set, but the clips that come with it don't fit in the travel case, and don't come with any kind of carry bag -- how is that fit for travel. That's okay though, because I'll never use them anyway.(would have given it zero stars but was forced to give at least one)
I have just retured from a cruise and this set is great. My hair never looked better. Usually I have trouble with my hair on these trips but these rollers did the trick.
I've used these rollers for years with great results on my long to medium length hair, and just finally getting my second set. The originals are still working but the velvet is wearing thin and I was afraid they wouldn't still be available when I finally did need them. The one thing I don't like about them is the bulkiness of the clips when traveling.
